Liebherr enjoys the greatest market share for cranes in the Middle East

Liebherr enjoys the greatest market share for cranes in the Middle East, with around 700 in the market, most of them in operation. The Liebherr share of the whole population exceeds 50% easily, and the market share over the last years was clearly dominated by Liebherr.
On the other hand, Liebherr has recently celebrated the handover of its 90,000th truck-based concrete mixer to Transbeton, a concrete supplier and loyal Liebherr customer for almost 50 years from Laupheim in south Germany.
The 90,000th unit, a HTM 1004 ZA with a 10m³ capacity mounted on a semitrailer, joins a fleet of around twenty truck mixers and various concrete mixing plants – all manufactured by Liebherr.

The D39-24 dozer has been updated to Tier 4-Final with a 105-horsepower Komatsu SAAD95E-7 engine. Available in EX or PX configuration, the dozer’s operating weight is 21,891 and 22,817, respectively. Blade capacity, with the power angle tilt blade, is 2.89 and 3.14 cubic yards, respectively.
It features auto-idle shutdown and economy modes that help reduce idle time and save fuel. An operator-selectable, automatic reverse grading mode enables automatic blade control. Operators can also choose between quick-shift, three-speed mode, and a variable 20-speed customizable transmission mode.
Rebuild program by Volvo CE for used machinery

Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has launched its new Certified Rebuild Program to ensure longer lifespans for Volvo machines. The program comprises three packages – Certified Hydraulics Rebuild, Certified Powertrain Rebuild and Certified Machine Rebuild – which extend the working lives of used Volvo equipment, the Swedish construction machinery giant said in a statement.
A team of Volvo technicians perform a detailed assessment to find the gaps in a Volvo machine’s performance and considers individual working environments for potential modifications before bringing the equipment back to its desired working efficiency, the statement said.
The rebuild program, offered at certified Volvo CE dealers, optimizes a customer’s fleet with solutions matched to their needs at a fraction of the cost of a new model, Volvo CE said. By reducing the total cost per hour by 8% over standard repair and overhaul procedures, and maximizing uptime for any piece of equipment, the program also enables customers to optimize their cash flow and extend their budgets.
Ascorel Middle East to facilitate construction technologies

The Dubai-based KBW Investments has partnered with French technology company Ascorel Group to facilitate the sale, implementation and distribution of Ascorel’s technologies dedicated to the heavy machinery segment in the Middle East.
The agreement to launch Ascorel Middle East was signed recently by Francis-Pierre Lemahieu, president of Ascorel Group, and Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, group CEO of KBW Investments, which is founded and chaired by Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal of Saudi Arabia.

“Ascorel’s range of products, services and after-sale attention will now be made available to the MENA region through the establishment of Ascorel Middle East. The partnership with KBW Investments will allow for greater international reach and market penetration, given the company’s strong regional foothold and diverse presence in the construction and manufacturing sectors,” said Jean-Yves Billon, CEO of Ascorel and Ascotronics Group.
