The CCL group was established in 1935 and in line with CCL's commitment to tailor its offerings to specific market requirements CCL Qatar was officially established in 2005, although the company had been operating in the market since 2001. CCL had a major influence on the introduction of post-tensioning technology in buildings in the country.

3. What is your specialty?
CCL Qatar is a specialist in post-tensioning, concrete repair and strengthening and the supply and installation of bridge bearings and expansion joints.
CCL offers its clients a complete and fully compatible post-tensioning (PT) system. This includes post-tensioning design, supply of all material and equipment needed in the post-tensioning process, including anchorage sets, corrugated ducts, stressing pumps and stressing jacks, and installation. Systems and equipment are supplied by CCL Stressing Systems, the Company's manufacturing facility based in the UK. An independent team of Quality Engineers is employed by CCL to carry out examination of works completed, routinely inspect the stressing results and verify the quality of grouting. This high end service is unique to CCL Qatar and makes the company one of the highest quality providers of post-tensioning systems in the region.
CCL also offers a range of solutions for the repair and strengthening of concrete structures. Drawing on the strengths of its own engineering, manufacturing and operations divisions, CCL Qatar provides integrated strengthening solutions which include unbonded and bonded PT systems as well as carbon fiber reinforcement. A full design and installation package is available as well as initial assessment of structural issues. This service can be provided for both contractors and consultants.
As well as being an exponent of value engineering techniques, the company is a leading advocate of ‘green engineering'. It places great importance on the use of more environmentally-friendly systems and the employment of resource efficient techniques.
